One truck, one technician, one phone number
Canton Appliance Repair is owner-operated. The person who answers the phone is the person who diagnoses your appliance and the person who stands behind the repair for the next six months. That is the whole model.
Why it works this way
Most appliance companies run a dispatcher, a rotating crew, and a commission structure. It scales, but it also means nobody owns the outcome. The tech who misdiagnosed your refrigerator is not the one who comes back, and the person who quoted you never saw the machine.
Running one truck caps how many calls we can take in a day. It also means there is no version of this where somebody else is accountable for the work. If a repair does not hold, you call the same number and get the same person.
We are a service-area business. We work in your home across Stark County. There is no storefront, no showroom, and we do not sell appliances or parts over the counter.
Training that matters on the hard jobs
Most of this trade is mechanical and most technicians can handle it. Sealed-system work is the part that separates people, because it needs certification, specific tools, and a real understanding of refrigeration.
How we price, and why we publish it
Service call: $167 to $227, set by appliance type and distance, quoted before we schedule and applied toward your repair. Most finished repairs run $150 to $400 including parts and labor.
Almost nobody in this trade publishes numbers. We do, for a simple reason: if our pricing does not work for you, you should learn that from a web page rather than from a technician standing in your kitchen after you took a morning off work.
We are not the cheapest option in Stark County and we are not trying to be. The full pricing breakdown is here.
What you can count on
Questions people ask
- Who actually shows up to the repair?
- The owner. This is a one-truck operation, so the person who answers the phone is the person who diagnoses your appliance and the person who stands behind the work.
- Do you have a shop I can bring an appliance to?
- No. We are a service-area business and work in your home. There is no walk-in location, and we do not sell appliances or parts over the counter.
- What certifications do you hold?
- EPA 608 universal certification for refrigerant handling, R-600a sealed-system training, and Lokring sealed-system certification. Sealed-system work is the part of this trade most independents will not touch.
- What does a service call cost?
- Between $167 and $227 depending on the appliance and distance, quoted before we schedule and applied toward your repair. Most finished repairs run $150 to $400 including parts and labor.
- What if the repair is not worth doing?
- We say so. If a repair costs more than the appliance is worth, we would rather tell you and lose the job than take your money for something that will not last.
