dryer running excessively hot
The Repair
Heat element shorted the ground. Need clamp for dryer vent.
Replaced element, thermal fuse and installed clamp in vent. Tightened ground connection at terminal block. Good to go.
Vent cover on outside of house is not up to code. It does not flow enough air for the dryer. Easily could have caused the existing issue. Customer will need to replace the vent cover with an approved dryer vent outlet cover before using dryer. Provided link to appropriate vent cover on Amazon.
