The Problem
Won’t run with more than 2 light items in it.
The Repair
Found F8E1 (long fill) stored with wash temp set to Warm at arrival. Calibration passed and the automatic diagnostic test passed. Unit is solid and level, the drain hose loops into the standpipe, the tub bearings feel and sound good, the basket hub is not stripped, and the suspension is good. Removed the hot fill hose from the wall supply and got almost no flow, so there is no hot water supply to the washer. With Warm selected, the washer was filling on the cold side only, which is consistent with the long-fill fault and the complaint of the unit not running with more than a small load. Washer is operating normally; the issue is the home’s hot water supply. Advised the customer to have the hot water supply corrected, and that the service call carries a 30-day guarantee if the washer still has problems after that is resolved.
